Construction was always considered a male dominant industry till the last few decades when women began actively participating. nbj is grateful to all the wonderful talented women who are a part of the nbj team and are a pleasure to work with on a daily basis. Here’s a peek at the amazing women coworkers and what they have to say.

Christine has been our office manager since Jackie left and is the welcoming face at our office. Originally from New York we are glad she has now settled in Richmond. She has worked for both construction and engineering firms before joining nbj. At nbj she wears multiple hats and so is always on her toes but never hesitates from stopping and exchanging pleasantries with her co workers. Her enthusiastic, cheerful warm nature makes her a unanimous favorite co worker among nbjites. Outside of work she enjoys playing golf, cooking and taking her dog for trail walks.

Cassidy is our talented Interior Designer and the brains behind nbj’s new look. An architecture graduate she enjoys meddling with colors and textures and has a very good eye for pairing materials. Her sense of bold yet subtle finish choices give nbj’s signature spaces a modern yet classic look. She is also an expert in generating realistic 3D models of our proposed spaces. She is the mother of two adorable kids and enjoys her time dotting over them.

Kruti is our hospitality and religious building expert. She completed her schooling from Surat, India and graduated with a masters degree in Urban design from Savannah College of Art & Design. The ability to create a habitable environment, considering various parameters of space, scale, aesthetics, life safety details and construction is what gives her joy in pursuing her career. As a mother of 2 boys she prefers to unwind her time outside of work with family and watching movies.

Ash in our office wears multiple hats. A Graduate from the University of Southern California she has been with nbj for over 2 years now. She is involved with a  few of our hospitality renovation projects. Being LEED certified she is also involved in our LEED project certifications.Business development is another hat she enjoys wearing and is active in nbj’s social circle. As an architect design of sustainable, energy efficient spaces and smart facades are what motivates her design ideologies. She is an avid photographer and enjoys her quality time with her kid and dog outside of work.

Andrea joined the studio at nbj in 2014 after completing her Masters of Architecture at Hampton University. She is a highly collaborative colleague, serving as a responsive, motivated coordinator. In her free time Andrea enjoys crocheting and is always impressing the office with her creations.

Jessica joined nbj at the beginning of 2015 after completing her Masters in Architecture from Hampton University. As a part of the hospitality team, she enjoys the challenge of learning new things and growing as a designer. In her free time, Jessica enjoys traveling, art galleries and visiting friends and family back home in Virginia Beach.
